MTS Set Up US East Coast Office and Central European Office

May and June are two big months for MTS this year. As a part of our global expansion plan, MTS set up its US East Coast Office and Central European office successively to enhance our 24-hour ongoing service capability from different time zones. Located in Raleigh, the capital city of North Carolina, the US East Coast Office is MTS’s second location in the US, three years after we established our subsidiary company Multilingual Technologies in Silicon Valley, California. Raleigh is part of North Carolina’s Research Triangle, a major center for high-tech and biotech research, as well as one of the largest and most successful research parks in the US. To get a better access to customers in Europe, we opened up a branch office this June in Vienna, Austria, a place known as the “City of Dreams” apart from “City of Music”, also a start point of our dream of business development in Europe. Local professional teams who are experienced in language service industry, with education and work background overseas, run both new offices. With these new offices, MTS will be able to offer local based translation and localization services on a higher level to our global clients. MTS attended ALC 2015 Annual Conference

ALC 2015 Annual Conference was held in the Music City Nashville, TN during May 6 – 9. As always, it is a great blend of countless networking, learning experience and fun. Topics range from sales, organization communication, data security, ethics to customer complains handling as well as various aspects of the industry. As the largest trade association for businesses in the language services in the US, ALC focuses on the needs of business owners and C-level executives. The conference is designed to provide numerous opportunities to meet successful business owners and professionals. MTS Re-awarded as Outstanding Corporate Member by TAC

The 7th National Congress of Translators Association of China (TAC) was held in Beijing on April 20, 2015. Nearly 300 representatives from the central state organizations, enterprises, universities as well as translation agencies across the country were present at the congress. During this congress, Master Translation Services (MTS) was awarded as the Outstanding Corporate Member of TAC and MTS President and founder Zhonghe Wei was re-elected to the new council board. The Internet of Things – MTS attended Locworld 27 Shanghai

LocWorld 27 was held on April 13-15 at Le Royal Méridien Hotel in Shanghai, China. The Internet of Things is the theme of this event. LocWorld is the premiere event of the localization and translation industry, focusing on international business, translation, and localization. Representatives from IBM, Microsoft, HP, Adobe and other major multinational companies, as well as Lionbridge, Moravia and other well-known localization service providers were invited to attend this conference and deliver a speech. Speeches were mainly involved in all aspects of advanced localization, global business, localization technology and translation automation. Meanwhile, there’re also Round Table conferences about localization sales and marketing, as well as open discussion sessions. Master Translation Services also attended LocWorld 27, during which we learned about current localization trend, exchanged technology and experience in translation and localization industry. The New Year’s Party of 2015— To anticipate a better MTS

On February 28th, the 2015 New Year’s Party of MTS was held in Xiamen, China, where the headquarters of MTS based in. The staff of the headquarters as well as the representatives of branch offices gathered together to celebrate the New Year of Goat.           At the beginning of the party, President Zhonghe Wei made the annual report for 2014 and expressed his good wishes for 2015. In the past year, MTS attained achievements in many aspects: the volume of business continued to grow, internal translation technology training made gains which reinforced our translation team, successfully sponsored the Fifth Cross-strait Interpreting Contest Finals, and became one of the first language service providers who are committed to professional integrity and promise to follow TAC (Translators Association of China) Code of Professional Conduct., etc. In the year of 2015, we expect a better performance. More importance will be attached to the quality of our services and business development, and the new business, training courses of translation and interpreting, will be started in cooperation with Xiamen University. MTS Sponsored the Fifth Cross-strait Interpreting Contest Finals

On 19th October, the Fifth Cross-strait Interpreting Contest Finals kicked off in Xiamen University. 22 players from 240 colleges and universities in mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan made themselves stand out in the fierce competition with more than 3,000 competitors. These winners gathered in Xiamen and competed against 3 foreign invited players from Monterey Institute of International Studies, Newcastle University, and University of Surrey for the final title. Since the very first Cross-strait Interpreting Contest, Master Translation Service has always been a major sponsor and supporter of this event. This year, Master Translation Service sponsored the competition final again with KL Communications Ltd from UK and boosted a great success of the contest. Themed as “Technology and Life”, the Final Contest consisted of two parts with three sections, including keynote interpreting, conference interpreting and conversation interpreting. During the contest, the contestants fully presented their solid linguist foundation, superb interpreting skills and natural and unrestrained manners on the stage, impressed the audiences with their speaking sparkles and an exciting atmosphere, and gained warm applause from time to time. After the one-day intense competition, Chia-Fu Chang, from National Taiwan Normal University, won the Outstanding Prize; Yufei Qian from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shih-Ch’i Chiang and Fan Yao-K’uan from National Taiwan Normal University tied for the First Prize. The Outstanding Prize winner will enjoy a study tour to London for a week; the First, Second and Third Prize winners will be awarded corresponding aid funds and a study tour across the Taiwan Strait.
