On January 11, 2014, Xiamen Xin’an Hotel witnessed the happy gathering of MTS. In this 2013 Year-end Conference & 2014 New Year’s Party, President Zhonghe Wei made the annual report for 2013, marking it a year of glory for MTS. Despite the gloomy economic situation all around the world, MTS advanced by leaps and bounds. The faith to carry on, to work earnestly and to provide customers home and abroad with top quality of services has made MTS the winner of the past year. In October 2013, China International Language Industry Conference organized by the Translators Association of China in Shanghai also recognized MTS as the “Leading Brand in China’s Language Service Industry”. To extend the gratitude to all its devoted staff who made all this possible, Mr. Wei awarded several excellent employees and teams and the Project Management Team was the team winning the Outstanding Team Award for 2013 while linguists from the German Department received the honor of the Outstanding Employees.
The gala night was filled with brilliant performances of MTS staff, with Latin dance for an opening and hilarious sketch comedy and heartwarming songs as icing on the cake. Over a hundred Chinese and foreign participants enjoyed the party together and actively played the pick-up games. The “Best Wishes for the Year of Horse” calligraphy from Professor Liyi Chen of Jimei University and the humorous monologue comic talk from Professor Jianping Wu, Foreign Languages Department of Xiamen University, added to the splendor of the night. Joy was overflowing everywhere.
It is worth mentioning that invited by Mr. Wei, Dr. William Brown, an honorary citizen of Xiamen and American professor of MBA Center, Xiamen University, also attended the party. A deep relationship between Dr. William Brown and MTS has been formed in his early years in Xiamen. MTS provided translation service for his work Magic Xiamen and Magic Fujian and consulting services and technical support for his website, i.e., http://www.amoymagic.com/. Dr. Brown has been teaching in Xiamen University’s MBA Center for 25 years. In 1992, he became Fujian Province’s 1st foreigner granted Permanent Residence, and in 1993 he received the Friendship Award from Premier Li Peng. He is more familiar with Xiamen than most natives of Xiamen. He made a great contribution to the promotion of Xiamen with his work Magic Xiamen and English website, i.e., http://www.amoymagic.com/.
As of 2014, MTS has been founded for 14 years. MTS will continue to serve its clients with profession and sincerity in the New Year. While perfecting the translation business, MTS will start to explore new fields to satisfy the need and expectation of clients both from abroad and home.
