The first LocWorld conference of this year (LocWorld33) was held in Shenzhen on FEB 28 –MAR 2, and the theme of it was Continuous Delivery. With a strong program featuring multiple tracks and a preconference day of in-depth workshops, the conference attracted over 200 industry attendees from all over the world. MTS was also in attendance at the conference.
During the main conference, experts from the translation and localization industry were invited to deliver speeches. Those in attendance had opportunities to learn new industry trends and useful solutions to meeting the challenges that come with those new trends. Representatives from IBM, Google, Huawei and Alibaba were also on the speakers list. Besides the speeches on advanced localization management and technical aspects, two keynote speeches which talked about the rise of China’s translation and China’s influences on the future of Asia were also very impressive.
With emphasis placed on creating a friendly atmosphere, LocWorld provides attendees with great opportunities to network and do business on a face to face basis. In addition to the two-day main conference, there was an optional preconference day of round table discussions, an opening reception, dinner, etc. In the exhibit hall, everyone had the opportunity to gather and chat, enjoy some food and find out the new trends of the industry.
On the afternoon session of MAR 2, the conference came to a successful close with a prize drawing.
