On July 26 and 27, auditors from SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd. (“SGS”) paid a visit to MTS to carry out an annual surveillance audit for MTS’s compliance to ISO9001:2008 and to go through a re-certification process for the company’s transition from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015.

Our management team had given much priority to this year’s audit and transition. Meetings were held to call on all departments and the staff to take active part in the preparation. Internal audits were performed. Issues discovered in the internal audits were promptly addressed.

The audit and re-certification lasted two days. Through reviews of documented information and question-and-answer sessions with staff from each department, the auditors evaluated, in a thorough and systematical way, the effectiveness of MTS’s quality management system in regard to operational planning and control, performance evaluation marketing management, control of service provision, procurement/outsourcing management, equipment management, service reviews, monitoring/measurement, control of documented information, and human resource management. The audit covers all services, including translation and interpretation, DTP, and software, website and multimedia localization.

Upon finishing the two-day audit, the SGS auditors agreed on—that the quality management system of implemented at MTS is in conformity with the ISO 9001:2015 standard, the system functions well, and the part of the system in relation to the company’s services of translation and interpreting, localization and DTP is sound and fulfills all requirements. The auditors declared that MTS passed the ISO 9001:2008 annual audit with any unconformity and would be citified to ISO 9001:2015.

MTS initially obtained the ISO 9001:2008 certificate on June 22, 2010, making itself one of the few certified translation companies in China. Ever since then, we have upheld high quality standards, and each of us at MTS has been engaged in the pursuit of quality excellence. In the future, we will continue to improve our quality management system and stay true to our mission, that is, “to provide high-quality translation and localization services to our clients.”
