Master Translation Services attended the 27th JTF(Japan Translation Federation) Festival

The 27th JTF Festival was held in the Hall of Arcadia Ichigaya Private School, Tokyo, Japan on November 29, 2017. The Festival was themed “Bridge the world with language and professional language services” and mainly focused on machine translation, translation quality management, the conclusion of the current language services industry and its outlook on future development. As one of the Top 100 language service providers in the world and the Top 15 language service provider in Asia, Master Translation Services was very honored to participate. We did plenty of intensive discussions and extensive exchanges on technologic annotation and challenges in the language industry with linguists, clients with translation demands and top language service providers from all over the world. MTS Provided Translation Service for Kulangsu’ Heritage Applying Program

On Saturday, July 8th, 2017, Kulangsu, a small island off the shore of Xiamen, Fujian Province, was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list at the 41st session of World Heritage Committee in Krakow, Poland. As a local company of Xiamen and the translation vendor of the heritage applying program, Master Translation Services is very proud of Kulangsu’s success. At the same time, we’d also like to thank all of our staff and partners who made their contributions to the heritage application program.   In the first half of the year 2016, Kulangsu’s heritage application program entered the essential stage of the preparation work, and MTS became the contracted translation supplier. Our company’s leaders coordinated the resources of all the parties and selected a number of experienced members from the production center, project management team, corpus management team and quality assurance management team to set up a particular group for the program. From pre-project communication and preparation, the development of translation guides and standards, term-base construction, to the supervision of project schedule, quality management, corpus improvement and feedback mechanism during the project, we developed a series of effective measures to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of the project.The documents that needed to be translated included: comprehensive information of the Kulangsu heritage, the introduction of the site’s core elements, cultural characteristics, important historical figures, some important residents, exhibition halls, etc. Thanks to the trust of the Kulangsu administrative committee and the heritage application program office, we were given such an opportunity to serve Xiamen. Master Translation Services Provided Simultaneous Interpreting Service for Subgroup Meeting of BRICS

On July 12th, 2017, the BRICS Political Parties, Think-Tanks and Civil Society Organizations Forum was successfully held at Fuzhou, Fujian province. Master Translation Services provided simultaneous interpreting and technical support for the forum together with the Foreign Affairs Service Center of Fujian Province. The three-day forum, hosted by the International Department of the Communist Party of China, attracted over 400 political party leaders, think tanks and civil organization representatives from the five member nations of BRICS. Simultaneous interpreting services in six languages, including Mandarin, English, Russian, Arabic, French and Spanish were provided. To meet the changing demands of the forum, several MTS staff worked till midnight for days before the opening ceremony, testing simultaneous interpretation equipment, purchasing new equipment and supporting services, coordinating with relevant parties and solving all kinds of technical issues. With the joint efforts of MTS and the Foreign Affairs Service Center of Fujian Province, no equipment went out of order during the forum and the simultaneous interpreting came to be a great success. MTS Attended LocWorld33 in Shenzhen

The first LocWorld conference of this year (LocWorld33) was held in Shenzhen on FEB 28 –MAR 2, and the theme of it was Continuous Delivery. With a strong program featuring multiple tracks and a preconference day of in-depth workshops, the conference attracted over 200 industry attendees from all over the world. MTS was also in attendance at the conference.

The First China Language Service Industry Collaboration and Innovation Forum & ALSP 2016 Annual Conference wrapped up successfully in Xiamen

At 6 PM on July 24, 2016, the 1st China Language Service Industry Collaborative Innovation Forum and ALSP 2016 Annual Conference, which was sponsored by the Association of Language Service Providers (ALSP) and co-organized by Xiamen based Master Translation Services (MTS) and Shanghai based Tmxmall, came to a successful close in Xiamen. Themed on collaboration and innovation in the language service industry, the forum focused on topics including collaborative development of translation technology, marketing and branding, legal risk prevention and cooperation between institutions of education and industry. Of those who participated in the forum, there were representatives from over 100 language service companies, 30 domestic universities that provide translation and interpretation programs, 10 translation technology providers from home and abroad. In addition, there were representatives from Australia, South Korea, USA, Taiwan and other countries and regions. During the two-day conference, more than 30 domestic and foreign specialists and industry leaders made speeches on the development and innovation of the industry, university-industry cooperation, cloud computing, big data platforms, language asset management, differentiated competitive strategies, risk management and quality assurance system. Panel discussions were held on the best practices for internship programs for MTI students, how to build competitive strength in the service market and how to minimize legal risks.
